A Look At MV Group USA’s Sustainable Waterfront Masterpiece In Coconut Grove

Manny Angelo Varas, the go-to home builder among billionaires and visionary leader of MV Group USA, is reshaping luxury living with another groundbreaking project set to redefine opulence.

His latest endeavor, a modern waterfront mansion valued at over $20 million, is not just a home; it’s a statement of sustainable design and severe weather-proofing, two trends increasingly sought after by the super-rich.

Situated at 1716 S. Bayshore Drive, this 10,000-square-foot marvel on a 31,000-square-foot waterfront lot is more than just a residence; it’s a model of sustainability and innovation. Powered entirely by solar panels with a Tesla battery recharging system, the mansion is designed to reduce its impact on human-caused climate change. Additionally, the home, sitting below sea level, incorporates flood-proofing measures such as an elevated pool, rainwater collection system, and a 6-car garage with a breakaway wall to manage inevitable flooding.

“Sustainability was a primary request from the homeowner. It was important to him that the property be as environmentally friendly as possible. The emphasis on being green inspired the home’s overall design. We went for lush landscaping outdoors and mirrored that tropical feeling throughout the interiors,” explains MV Group USA Project Manager Nicole Luis.

The project is not just about the structure; it’s also about the people behind it. Luis, celebrating her 10th anniversary at MV Group USA, is overseeing every detail of this multi-million dollar endeavor. Nicole’s expertise in luxury home projects, especially waterfront residences, has been instrumental in ensuring the home’s sustainability while maintaining its luxurious appeal. Her dedication to detail and leadership style reflect MV Group USA’s commitment to excellence. Manny Angelo Varas champions women in the industry, with most of his project managers being women.

“Since joining MV Group USA 10 years ago, Manny has guided me and helped me learn so much. I understand and am passionate about what it takes to build from the ground up and enjoy being hands-on at our sites every day,” says Nicole Luis.

Their attention to detail and organizational skills, like Nicole’s, are crucial in projects of this scale, ensuring MV Group USA delivers the highest level of craftsmanship.

“I love being part of such a strong team, the majority of which is female. In a male-dominated industry like construction, seeing yourself represented is empowering,” Nicole Luis explains.

Together, Manny and his team of strong women are not just building homes; they’re shaping the future of luxury living.
