Sony Music Expands Latin American HQ In Coconut Grove

Sony Music has expanded its Latin American headquarters in Coconut Grove and plans to boost its headcount there.

The music company extended its lease by 8 years and added 6,500 square feet to its current 20,800 square feet at Mayfair in the Grove.

Mayfair in the Grove was a retail building in the heart of the popular retail and entertainment district. The upper floors have been converted into office space. Orban said the fun location and wide-open floor plans are attractive for creative companies like Sony Music.

Sony Music has about 85 people in its Coconut Grove office and plans to reach 100.

\”As Sony continues to grow and add headcount it was important that the company have the opportunity to reinvest in the employee\’s workspace and this agreement allows us to do so,” said Jon Peragine, the senior director of real estate management for Sony.

Other tenants in the 260,000-square-foot Mayfair in the Grove include advertising agency Christian Porter + Bogusky, technology firm Sapient, and Regus.
