The second annual Montreux Jazz Festival Miami isn’t until February, but the release of the initial lineup is something to get excited about now.
Driving The News
The festival — scheduled for Feb. 28 to March 2 — features headliners Jon Batiste, a five-time Grammy Award-winner; singer-songwriter and actress Janelle Monáe; and Latin Grammy nominee Cimafunk.
Monsieur Periné, of Bogotá, Alfredo Rodriguez, Pedrito Martinez, Robe L Ninho, Wampi and Yissy García will also perform. More artists will be announced in the coming months.
Dante’s HiFi, Wynwood’s vinyl listening bar, will host a pop-up. A handful of local restaurants will also be on-site.
The Intrigue
Batiste, a co-owner of the festival, curated this year’s lineup and is slated to perform with his band at the Legendary Montreux Jam Session each night.
The Details
Tickets for the international festival, held at The Hanger at Regatta Cove in Coconut Grove, start at $129.
