The Coconut Grove Organic Farmers Market could soon be gone, as new development replaces the community’s landmarks, piece by piece. The market, amid lush almond and live oak trees, feels almost immune from encroaching development. But the market’s history is also part of a larger story of a changing Coconut Grove.
#BlueGrove is one of four quarterly initiatives in the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District. This seasonal campaign focused on water-quality awareness, is connecting a series of interrelated events inspiring businesses to take a leadership role in providing smart, sustainable options to their customers and guests.
The Grove Central Project is expected to lure more than 900 daily riders aboard, including 300 in rush hours. Those additional riders, the county reasons, will reduce the number of roadway users, reducing the need for the road impact fees from the developers.

Regatta Grove, the long-awaited entertainment venue on Biscayne Bay in the spot of the former Chart House, just opened.
